Karen's Kloset is East Central Illinois’ largest upscale consignment shop with all your favorite stores in one! Karen’s Kloset has been carrying brand name fashions at a fraction of the cost of retail for over 16 years for Women, Men, Plus, Maternity and Juniors. Some of the brands we carry include Chico’s, Talbots, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Coach, Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren, Mimi, Pea in a Pod, Abercrombie & Fitch, Express, and Banana Republic.

 

Karen's Kloset was started in 1991 by Karen Boudreau.  She was a divorced mother of two children and shopped alot!  Learning quickly that she needed to watch her spending, she soon found resale shopping.  Alot of the stores had some nice things, but the atmosphere just wasn't there.  Karen decided she could introduce resale shopping in a "boutique type" atmosphere.  Her first store opened April 10, 1991 on University Avenue in Champaign.  She opened that store while still working full-time and raising her two children.  She moved Karen's Kloset to Neil Street, then to Glenn Park Drive, and finally to Country Fair Shopping Center where the store is currently located.  Once Karen's children were in college, she quit her full-time job and devoted herself to running Karen's Kloset.

 

On May 9, 2006, Karen's Kloset West was opened in Normal, IL.  Although Karen's Kloset West is a much smaller store (1600 sq ft) than Karen's Kloset (5000 sq ft), it is newly decorated and is a beautiful location.  Please be sure to visit both locations!
